APPLYING

How to apply: Start by checking admissions requirements for each college or university you want to apply to. Most colleges/universities post their application and admission criteria on their admissions websites. Check requirements for letters of recommendations, essay, interview/resume, SAT/ACT, SAT Subject Tests, high school GPA/Rank, application deadline, application fee, etc.

Use the following links to get started:
Common App- when applying to all private schools or a combination of SUNY/private colleges
SUNY App- when applying to only SUNY 4 year or technical schools (SUNY Canton)

​FINANCIAL AID

 FAFSA-The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (known as the FAFSA) is a form that is prepared annually to determine eligibility for federal student financial aid (including the Pell Grant, Federal student loans and Federal Work-Study).   • HESC-(NY state aid) Every year, hundreds of thousands of students benefit from the financial programs administered by HESC - NYS Higher Education Services Corporation. HESC manages more than 18 grant and scholarship programs, including the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP), the nation's largest state grant.
  • Local Scholarships- FA is fortunate to offer thousands of dollars in scholarship money each year to the graduating class. See the scholarship tab for more information.
