A message from the Principal
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all of you back for the 2013-2014 school year. To the class of 2014, I hope that you truly enjoy your senior year and take every opportunity to make lasting memories with your friends and family before you move on to become a productive part of society. To the class of 2017, I hope you take every opportunity to find your own niche at Franklin Academy and to make the best of the next four years, as they will go by faster than you could ever imagine.
For those who do not know me, my name is Brandon Pelkey; I am the new principal at Franklin Academy. I am a 1990 graduate of Franklin Academy and am very proud to be in this new role. Over the past 17 years, I have served the District in many different roles: Assistant principal, dean of students, teacher, and coach. I am very excited to be working with your children in this new capacity.
Please join me in welcoming Mrs. Shannon Pitcher-Boyea as the assistant principal for the 2013-2014 school year. She joined Franklin Academy last April as the assistant principal. Shannon is a 1992 graduate of Franklin Academy and is very excited to be back working with your students.
When you return this fall you will notice that a few familiar faces are no longer with us. Mrs. Kathy Caruso, Mrs. Melinde Pupoure, and Mr. Chuck Dievendorf have retired and are enjoying their time with family and friends. We welcome to our Franklin Academy family a few new faces this year. Ms. Lily Jarvis will be joining our music department this year and Ms. Karyssa Tuthill will be joining our English department. Ms. Darby Turner will be joining our Special Education department.
Please join me in welcoming them to our Franklin Academy family.
If you have any questions or need any assistance, please feel free to contact me at 483-7807, option 1, or email email@example.com.

We are on a 6 letter day cycle (A, B, C, D, E, F).
Students receive schedules over the summer and again on the first day of school. Students may request a new copy of their schedule from the main office or guidance.
Below are the bell schedules for normal days as well as days with 1 or 2 hour delays. Students are required to be in homeroom by the time of the bell in order to not be counted as tardy to school.
On half-days with early release, drivers and walkers are dismissed at 11:03, and bus riders are released at 11:15.
